ps. pozele alb negru sunt gata; alea de pe film. 4/28 sunt ok. ceea ce inseamna ca nu voi mai poza niciodata sau cel putin foarte rar cu film.

De ieri folosesc Thunderbird (un client rezonabil de email dar numai cand e folosit in combinatie cu un singur account - administrarea mai multor servere SMTP inca lasa mult de dorit) plus Google POP3 pentru contul de g-mail, cu optiunea ca mesajele existente sa fie nu sterse de pe google, nici lasate in Inbox ci arhivate. Pentru ca intre aseara si azi dimineata nu a mai venit nimic nou si Inboxul era gol, Google s-a gandit ca s-ar putea sa ma simt un pic cam singur si mi-a spus:

"No new mail! There's always Google News if you're looking for something to read."

Isn't thaat cuuute? :)

Nu obisnuiesc de prea multe ori sa recomand filme. Asta si pentru ca de mai multe ori se intimpla ca gusturile mele sa nu fie aceleasi cu ale multora. Dar astazi am vazut filmul de mai sus si, fara a ma apuca sa il povestesc, sa va indemn sa il vedeti pentru ca e mai mult decat un nou film al lui M. Night Shyamalan. Poate nu la fel de bun precum The Sixth Sense, dar cu siguranta superior lui The Signs, mi-a amintit de vremurile in care citeam povestirile SF, uneori doar F, de la Nemira sau revistele care publicau George R.R. Martin; e vorba de acele povesti care la final, si pe parcurs au acel twist ce face intreg deliciul. Ce m-a fascinat pe mine la filmul asta si in general la regizorul asta, e mecanismul fricii. Prin muzica si manuire de camera reuseste sa impuna celui din sala exact sentimentele de frica si confuzie traite de personaje mai mult decat decat orice altele (ceea ce ar trebui sa faca de fapt orice regizor). Bucuria si momentele romantice sunt doar naturale. Frica insa devine impusa. Poate tocmai pentru ca frica devine din ce in ce mai putin naturala in zilele noastre, in lumea celor care filmele le sunt adresate. Vizionare placuta cu "the-ones-we-don't-talk-of" in "the-den-we-are-not-allowed-to".

Si daca tot nu v-am convins atunci sa stiti ca ea joaca mai bine decat arata ;). Si inca ceva. Nu urmariti nici un trailer pe net si nu cititi spoilere. Trailere induc o imagine gresita asupra a ceea ce se vrea filmul iar spoilere risipesc jumatate din farmecul filmului.

I have spinned the layout a little, I hope you like it, it won't bother me that much if you don't, 'cause I shall be the first to get bored by it. And since I had no time to get a decent CMS, I decided I'll make layout changes more often. An honest opinion won't hurt also.

Oh, urasc primele zapezi aici. La radio de azi de dimineata nu aud decat cat de lungi sunt ambuteiajele si cite accidente... si sa fiti prevazatori ca e gheata pe jos. De asta am decis sa merg cat se poate de tarziu la munca, ca sa evit statul pe autostrada. Pot da oricum vina pe ambuteiaje, nu :) ?

Actually I am not that a news and gadget freak, but today I got very curios about what is going to be the future of free television like, so I decided to "test" the cheapest DVBT receiver on the market, as there has been a start today for this kind of service in the region. If you don't know what DVBT is than I must recommend you a visit to the DigitalFernsehen website or a company's portal, the DVBT Portal from Technisat (both in german). But I bought a cheaper one for 69 EUR from STRONG. This decision I took because I set up my sat-dish onto Sirius for some Romanian channels and I didn't had anymore germans. At least not more than a few.

The result is quite surprising. 19 channels (23 from April 2005) in not brilliant, but good quality (some visible MPEG artifacts seen). Free to get with a small 30 cm stick antenna. In my opinion it is a go for it instead of the cable. I mean on cable you pay around 18 Euro/month and you get what, 24 channels. From these you can cut out MDR, NDR, BR, WDR and other R's... I hope it is going to boost some competiont 'cause should I say that even in Bucharest there are 45-56 channels on the cable? With 0 competition either...

Oh yeah, I couldn't resist too much time with ONE b/w film. Luckily I had the digital camera with me. It's quite surprinsing how quick a roll of film is up :)... I presume it is almost impossible to switch back to film after digital. At least not with normal costs.

Da' tot sunt al naibii de curios sa vad ce-a iesit din filmul asta. Sper sa nu ramana zacand vreo luna prin vreun sertar pina gasesc timp de un laborator foto.

Since yesterday I got in my analog camera an Ilford ISO50 B/W so in the next few days I'll shoot only with it. Until is developed, scanned and digitized I'll post only arhive photos converted to B/W. I only hope it's not going to be too depresing.
